Not always. The dress code, time of event and styling direction determine how far colour can move while remaining appropriately formal.
Can the groom stand out from groomsmen?＋

Can you make only a dinner jacket?＋
A standalone formal jacket can be discussed if it works with the rest of the client’s wardrobe.
